graphite, ink, watercolor on paper
This piece was created to remind Koreans to never forget the day our people fought for a strong, independent Korea, free from the tyranny of foreign nations like Japan. However, there must not be hatred between modern-day Koreans and Japanese. The conflicts and horrors of history, must be accepted, embraced, and learned from in order for history to never repeat itself. If someone puts you down, you must rise up, and follow Ryu Gwansun.
